For three-quarters of a century, Notre Dame Academy has been defined by its enduring values and adaptability. Having navigated decades of cultural and educational shifts, the school remains rooted in its faith-filled educational approach while implementing modern technology and 21st-century teaching models.

Known as a private, Catholic all-girls high school, Notre Dame Academy has long served boys as well. NDA today has four academic divisions: Classes begin with transitional kindergarten and offer distinct educational pathways for boys through 8th grade and girls through 12th grade.

As part of a strategic plan, this spring the school introduced a rebrand and logo, giving a fresh look that reflects its commitment to innovation, excellence and the future of education.

“Our new brand reflects the momentum of Notre Dame Academy today and the exciting future ahead for our students,” says Lilliam Paetzold, president and head of school. “This next chapter honors the foundation that shaped so many of us while boldly embracing the future we are building together.”

A former Notre Dame Academy student, Lilliam brings both professional expertise and the unique perspective of an alumna. Her vision has helped shape the school’s identity as a unified TK–12 institution while strengthening academic programming and expanding opportunities in STEM and innovation.

Notre Dame Academy’s curriculum is grounded in educational research and intentionally designed for each stage of child development. Students benefit from inquiry-based learning, collaborative problem-solving, technology integration and hands-on exploration from their earliest years. As they mature, those experiences expand into leadership opportunities, college-level coursework, engineering, computer science, entrepreneurship, service learning and real-world experiences throughout Los Angeles.

The school’s intimate size ensures that each student develops meaningful relationships with exceptional teachers. “Every student deserves to be known, challenged and inspired,” Lilliam says. “Our commitment is to meet students where they are and empower them to become the people they are called to be.”

As Notre Dame Academy Los Angeles embarks on this bold new chapter, it remains committed to helping students become confident learners, compassionate leaders and thoughtful citizens.
