Is this goodbye for the Fun Factory? Since 1972 the Redondo Pier attraction has drawn countless fans from several generations to enjoy games and carnival rides. But following a $9 million lease settlement, the venue was expected to close this September. Will owner Steve Shoemaker really pull the plug on this local favorite? That’s still not clear. As of our press date the website says, “We will be here until the city kicks us out.” While we wait to learn the fate, let the games begin …
