KKC Fine Homes is a design-build firm that helps clients bring their vision to life, whether it’s a renovation, a ground-up construction project or a full-scale remodel. President Pablo Escutia and his team guide clients through every stage of the process, from early design conversations and feasibility planning to construction and final delivery. Pablo joined the KKC team in 2011 and later acquired the business, building on the foundation established by Kim Komick and Dave Forrest.

Tell us about your firm.

KKC Fine Homes specializes in custom homes and high-end renovations throughout the South Bay. We work with homeowners who want a thoughtful, hands-on approach to building. One thing that’s important to us is flexibility. While we have an incredible team, we’re not limited to working only with in-house designers or architects. We regularly collaborate with outside architects, interior designers and consultants to build the right team for each project. A big part of our role is helping bridge the gap between design and construction. We work closely with homeowners and design professionals to make sure ideas can be successfully executed, stay aligned with the budget, and ultimately achieve the vision everyone set out to create.

Why did you choose this career?

I’ve always been drawn to construction because it sits at the intersection of creativity and problem-solving. No two projects are ever the same, and there’s something incredibly rewarding about taking an idea on paper and bringing it to life. Early in my career, I realized we were creating the places where families gather, where kids grow up, where holidays are celebrated and where some of life’s most important memories happen. Today, I still get excited about helping clients create homes that not only look beautiful but truly support the way they want to live.
