    My City

Jen Caskey grew up in Manhattan Beach and raised her sons in her hometown. After graduating from Mira Costa High School and USC, she got her start in real estate working with her mother—an agent at Shorewood Realtors. For the past three decades, Jen has utilized those experiences to help people find their ideal homes in the South Bay. Her insight into the community makes her a valuable resource. “I know everything there is to know about Manhattan Beach—the qualities of each neighborhood, the local schools, the people,” says Jen. “There is so much goodness here!”

Best Friday Afternoon

Fishing With Dynamite for oysters and Chablis. Bartender Sal is the best! Go with the girls or take a date; you won’t be disappointed.

Best Mexican Food

At El Sombrero, the food is always delicious and the hospitality can’t be beat. Jose will greet you with “Welcome home,” and you will leave with “See you mañana.” This is El Som’s 50-year anniversary—make sure to stop in and say hi.

Wag-worthy Dog Walk

Veterans Parkway/the Greenbelt woodchip path is Winnie’s favorite spot. Nothing better than frolicking in the ice plant or chasing squirrels. Fun fact: The Greenbelt area was previously a branch of the Santa Fe Railroad. On the way to Robinson Elementary, my sister and I would put coins on the tracks so they would get smashed!

Simply Delicious

For a truly delish dinner, Love & Salt does not disappoint. Sylvie Gabriele is at the helm of this Italian-inspired restaurant with SoCal soul, where my favorite dishes are the chicken, mushroom pizza and fennel salad.
