What inspired you to pursue a career in your field?

I have always loved the holidays and put myself at the center of bringing family to the table. Trying new dishes and styles of serving cuisine inspired me to pursue this field. Giving people a great experience as they celebrate life’s most treasured occasions is my passion.

Share a recent accomplishment.

I’m deeply proud of where the company is now. Made by Meg Catering doubled in size from pre-pandemic numbers in 2022. I’m extremely proud that we made the Inc. magazine top 5,000 fastest-growing companies this year. Helping our community deliver over 65,000 meals to senior citizens during the pandemic was one of the greatest moments of my life.

How do you foster a positive work environment?

I’m incredibly grateful to be able to provide jobs. We employ 30 to 35 full-time team members and more than 200 part-time team members for events. Offering a workplace and platform for my team to be happy and productive at work is a big part of my job. I truly believe that the customer service experience is a 360 approach. I’m not just working on an excellent client experience; I am also responsible for a positive work environment for my team.

What motivates you to go to work every day?

My daughters, Eve (5) and Sloane (3). My mother was a working mom, and I admired her work ethic. It showed me her strength, courage and stamina to get things done. Life isn’t handing out awards; you have to bring your best to the table every day. They need to know that to navigate this world.
