Kelly Evans & Laura Medina 

Kelly Evans and Laura Medina, also known as “Sisters SOLD on the South Bay,” have been navigating the residential real estate market together as “Kelly & Laura” for 25 years. Their experience of previously owning two successful paint-your-own-pottery studios—coupled with their degrees in economics and communications and former work in publishing sales and interior design—gives the sisters a business-minded approach to real estate transactions.

What is your professional superpower?  

We are straightforward with clients yet bring a sense of humor to the table. Real estate transactions often occur during stressful times: death, divorce, debt, diamonds, diapers (the D’s of real estate). So it is important that we offer solid and sage advice to help clients know what to expect. 

What makes you stand out?

Reputation is everything in this business. Our reputation translates into how our clients and our colleagues perceive us. We strive to stay on top of the ever-changing real estate landscape, and networking with other agents is a great way to understand new trends in the market and dig into potential off-market listings that might benefit our buyers. Wearing many hats and having a can-do attitude means we often get our hands dirty to make things happen. We will do whatever it takes to make our clients happy!

What do you credit for your success?

It’s “the love of the game” that lights a fire in our bellies. We are both competitive, and nothing makes us happier than the sound of our phones ringing from a referred, past or brand-new client asking us to help them buy or sell a home. We love making that a reality.

How well do you know this area?

We grew up here, and our kids grew up here. We work and play here. We know the schools, the neighbors, the buyers and the sellers, the original home and the newly flipped version, the old and new stores, the best painter, termite guy, HVAC guy, interior designer, stager, etc. And we rarely need our GPS!
