Who opened a door for you professionally that made a huge impact?
Bindu Xavier: Twenty years ago, Sandra Sanders of Estate Properties encouraged me to join the business, a decision that has shaped my career and my life. Sandra continues to inspire me as both a successful businesswoman and a devoted mother. I deeply admire her incredible work ethic, strength and ability to balance family and career with such grace. I am forever grateful for her belief in me and proud to have her as a mentor, inspiration and friend.

Devra Zandell: Early in my real estate career at Shorewood Realtors 22+ years ago, I was fortunate to have exceptional mentorship and management that genuinely supported my growth, helping shape and educate me as a professional (which Estate Properties offers as well). I also made one of the best investments of my career by hiring a real estate coach. That guidance transformed the way I serve my clients, reinforcing the importance of truly listening, anticipating their needs and providing exceptional service every step of the way.

Jennifer Williamson: At age 24, I had the incredible opportunity to work alongside my mom, Kim Williamson, one of the best brokers in Los Angeles, and carry on the legacy she had built. She taught me honesty and integrity, but more importantly demonstrated what it means to truly serve people. I watched her go above and beyond for clients, helping with whatever was needed to make one of life’s biggest transitions a positive, meaningful experience. Everything I know, I learned from her.

What can we each do to support other women in business?
Agnes Rosiak: Supporting other women in business starts with choosing collaboration over competition. I believe in sharing opportunities, making introductions, recommending women-owned businesses, mentoring when possible and celebrating each other’s successes. In real estate, relationships are everything, and a strong network creates room for everyone to grow. We also need to listen, encourage confidence and speak up when another woman deserves a seat at the table. When women support women, entire communities become stronger, and opportunities expand.

Speak about the importance of community and how it’s impacted your business journey.
Sandy Bruce: Building new relationships and nurturing the long-standing ones are so important in our profession. Successfully helping my clients cannot be done all alone; I rely on my connections to assist in providing the resources and information my clients need in their homeownership journey. Constant support of my fellow agents and our real estate community helps us all become better able to take care of our clients.

Sylvette Mascioni: Community has shaped so much of my journey in real estate. I believe the best relationships are built by being a resource first: showing up, sharing knowledge, making connections and helping however I can. Real estate may be what I do, but serving people is the heart behind it. That mindset has created relationships that extend far beyond a transaction and has shaped both the business we’ve built and the way we continue to grow.

What led you to a career in the real estate industry?
Vivian-Tamayo Gandara: Real estate is woven into my earliest memories. Growing up, I watched my dad renovate and build homes from the ground up, and I learned that a home is more than walls. It’s where life unfolds, families grow and memories are made. After nearly 20 years working as a television news anchor and reporter, I brought my storytelling, listening and negotiation skills into real estate. Today, I help clients find the right home for their next chapter. And I love that these stories all have happy endings.
