What inspired you to pursue a fitness career?

My mission has always been combining science, movement and education to help women thrive through every stage of life. I discovered my passion for coaching and pursued it through a degree in kinesiology and graduate studies focused on women’s fitness, especially pre- and postnatal health. That drive led me to teach multi-format fitness classes internationally, take roles as a group fitness director, personal trainer, master trainer and fitness presenter/writer, and ultimately establish my own fitness studio.

What makes Beach Life Fitness Boutique unique?

Beach Life Fitness Boutique was created to support women through every stage of life—from girls to grandmothers. Whether a client is a teen athlete, expecting her first baby, recovering postpartum, navigating menopause, undergoing cancer treatment or recovery, or simply wanting to stay active as she ages, we provide expert, evidence- based fitness in a welcoming and supportive environment.

How does your philosophy shape the way you care for clients?

We believe fitness is about much more than exercise. It’s about helping women move better, feel stronger, reduce pain and improve their overall quality of life. Every program is designed to meet women where they are and give them the confidence to keep moving through every season of life.

How has the community shaped your journey?

The South Bay has been home to my family for nearly 30 years, and it’s where I’ve had the privilege of building both my family and my career. As a proud mom of three Redondo Union High School graduates—one of whom now serves as a South Bay ocean lifeguard—I’ve been honored to help women through some of life’s most important milestones while creating a strong, healthy community. My husband and I are also proud to own Beach Life Fitness Boutique alongside our neighboring restaurant, LoZio Osteria, where our shared passion is to nourish our community by helping people live well, stay active and enjoy great food!

How do you ensure your team provides such specialized care?

Continuing education is one of our core values. Every instructor is trained and mentored in women’s health and medical fitness, including pregnancy and postpartum exercise, menopause and movement, cancer and exercise, functional movement and corrective exercise, ensuring every client receives knowledgeable, compassionate and individualized care.

What trends in the fitness industry excite you most?

I’m encouraged to see more attention being given to women’s health, including strength training during menopause, pregnancy and postpartum fitness, cancer recovery and longevity. These are areas we’ve championed for years, and it’s exciting to see the industry embracing a more personalized, evidence-based approach to women’s wellness.

What role has community played in the success of your business?

Community has always been at the heart of everything I do. I’m proud to serve as a Redondo Rotarian and have spent many years volunteering with the Redondo Beach PTA as chair of the Green Committee and as a LiveWell docent. Being named Redondo Beach PTA Volunteer of the Year in 2017 and supporting events like the Redondo Super Bowl 10K are reminders that investing in the health and well-being of our community is just as important to me as helping women thrive inside the studio.

What do you hope people will say about Beach Life Fitness Boutique years from now?

I hope they’ll say we created a place where women felt seen, supported and empowered through every stage of life. If our legacy is healthier women, stronger families and a community that continues to value movement, wellness and connection, I’ll consider that our greatest success.
