Benefiesta – Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation

The Jimmy Miller Memorial Foundation (JMMF) 2019 Benefiesta fundraiser was hosted at the fabulous home of Scott and Liz Whitehead in Manhattan Beach. The funds raised by this event will help the at risk youth, veterans and Marines that are served by JMMF, experience the healing power of the ocean.  The foundation will be able to purchase equipment, develop new-instructor training, and expand into new programs for the addiction and recovery populations. This year’s event honored Rebecca and Rob DeSantis with the JMMF Legacy Award for their generous support of the foundation as past hosts of the BeneFiesta event; and Stephan Jenkins from Third Eye Blind with the first ever JMMF Pure Surfing Experience Award for his work with JMMF Ocean Therapy. Guests were also treated to a live acoustic performance by Stephan. The event with Master of Ceremonies, Geeter McGee, was buzzing with games, live auctions and great food throughout the evening. A special appearance by a sphere performer was a highlight as well as a set by Kevin Sousa and his band to close out the evening.
