What makes you stand out?
I love selling real estate in the South Bay. We have fabulous weather, friendly people, great schools, real community values, clean air, low crime—an overall better quality of life! I believe that “home is where the heart is.” It’s where your friends and family gather, where memories are made. It is wonderful to help people with this major event in their lives. I take their trust very seriously, and I feel that it sets me apart from many other agents. My clients know they can totally count on me, and that relationship and bond is what I love. I feel patience is a great personal attribute and something I bring to every transaction.
What are some of your top tips for getting a home ready for market?
I pride myself on getting my clients and their homes ready for sale. I prepare them for all the ups and downs (and curveballs) that can happen. I have a professional stager come to their home to talk to them about how to arrange their furniture and what to get rid of so we are picture-perfect when we go on the market. Making sure counters are clean—no more than three items in a space—is a great rule.
Who do clients work with on your team?
I have a fabulous assistant, stager, escrow officer and title rep, legal team, marketing team and photographer—but my clients work only with me.
Which real estate transaction during your career are you proudest of?
I can still remember my very first transaction like it was yesterday. I was so excited to be called by a tennis friend of my husband. He was building a new home and wanted to sell his current residence. I was so nervous and then almost passed out when he said he was looking forward to working with me! I showed the house to a neighbor of his, and he had me write the offer. The negotiating was nerve-racking and so educational. I remember how proud of myself I was.
