A Definition of “Wellness”
Wellness is thriving and doing what you love without health or confidence holding you back. Oral health can reduce systemic disease risk, extend your lifespan and significantly improve your quality of life. Our practice recognizes that loving your smile impacts confidence and how you carry yourself, which is very much part of wellness too. Helping patients feel good and smile brightly is what we dedicate ourselves to every single day.
The Rewards of Dentistry
Witnessing true transformation—in health, cosmetic results and even in the relationship people have with the dentist—is truly rewarding. Recently a patient returned to share how much better he felt after treatment, with improved blood pressure and inflammatory markers. It was a true testament to the connection between oral and overall health.
Seeing a patient’s first smile after cosmetic work is equally rewarding. Your smile is one of the first things people notice about you, and not being able to smile proudly affects both confidence and health. Research shows that smiling benefits your physical and mental health. We also prioritize comfort at every step—through special amenities and compassionate care—and have seen even the most phobic patients transform their relationship with the dentist.
A Healthy Foundation
Our industry is due for a rethink. Too many practices offer “repair care” rather than true health care, and it’s impacting patient wellness. If your doctor isn’t educating you and looking beyond what needs fixing, that’s a red flag. We spend two hours with every new patient because their overall health depends on it.
Cosmetic care also shouldn’t be treated in a silo. A beautiful smile requires a healthy foundation. We look at the big picture while delivering excellent aesthetic results, and we want to make sure you get the most out of that investment.
Stay Proactive
Proactive oral care makes a huge impact—it really is that simple. Staying on top of cleanings, flossing and working with a doctor who connects your oral health to your overall wellness and gets ahead of things, versus waiting to react and fix, can have a tremendous impact on your longevity and quality of life. What most people don’t know is that gum disease increases the risk of dementia, heart disease, stroke, certain cancers and so many other systemic conditions. Oral care is about so much more than just taking care of teeth.
Your South Bay Resource
We wish more people knew about the level of cosmetic care available right here in the South Bay. So many people think they have to drive to Beverly Hills or fly to New York, and that just isn’t true. Our doctors have trained with some of the best cosmetic dentists, and we partner with world-renowned master ceramist Paulo Battistella of Code White Boutique Lab to create porcelain veneers that bring each patient’s vision to life. The work is true artistry, and we’re very proud of it.
Community Love
Helping our fellow South Bay residents live healthier and happier is incredibly rewarding. All the Fulbright kids have gone through the Hermosa Beach school system, with their oldest now at Mira Costa. Dr. Faist’s wife, who leads our marketing, grew up here and attended American Martyrs School. It means so much to care for families with such personal ties, and to give back through their scrip program. We also support Indivisible Arts and The Butterfly Strong Foundation, among others. Partnering with Hi-Fi Espresso and joining the California Surf Club has also been such a bright spot for us. (Thanks to the California Surf Club for hosting our photo shoot!)
