The Shenbaum Group, Inc. is a boutique real estate investment company that provides clients the option of selling their properties directly to the company, quickly and without con-tingencies. They rehab a number of the properties and have also built a rental portfolio. Owner Jennifer Shenbaum has a doctoral degree in management from Pepperdine University and was an executive search consultant prior to founding The Shenbaum Group in 2006.
What would you like potential clients to know about you?
“I am a ‘problem-solver.’ I approach every client with the intent of solving their needs, even in difficult circumstances. The best solution may or may not involve selling the property to me. Clients feel comfortable knowing they are making the decision that is best for them.”
Tell us about your family.
“I am a third-generation South Bay native, having been raised in Palos Verdes. My grandparents and my father all attended Redondo Union High School. I am married to Dave Shenbaum, a Fire Captain with Manhattan Beach. My three beautiful daughters are Sara, Jenna and Katie. We love the South Bay, especially enjoying time on the water.”
What’s most rewarding about your work?
“I have always enjoyed remodeling. Seeing a house go from rundown to looking ‘brand-new’ is a great feeling. I also enjoy the human con-nection, whether it be talking to a potential seller or to one of the guys working on the project. I couldn’t have dreamed of a more fulfilling career.”
What is one word that you most want associated with you and your business?
“Integrity. Being in the real estate investment business, especially when I am talking directly to homeowners, entails a lot of integrity. I hold myself to a very high professional standard.”
Was there a defining moment in your career that guided you to where you are now?
“Yes, early on, I bought a house from a wonderful lady whose house needed quite a bit of repairs. I made the sales process extremely easy and stress-free for her. If she had a problem, I found a way to quickly resolve it. She thanked me so many times; that made me realize that I offer a great service and that I can be proud of that.”
